Spring Academy and Developmental Team Notes

20 Feb 2023 by Ken Koziczkowski

Hello U10 Electric City Girls,
The spring season is right around the corner, so we want to share some general information as we look ahead.

Outdoor practices will start sometime in April, weather permitting. Practices are set to run Monday and Thursday evenings. Academy Games will be on Saturdays and U11 Developmental games will most likely be on Tuesday evenings.

As mentioned last fall, we will be creating a developmental team this spring to compete at the U11 level. All academy and developmental players will train at the same time and at the same location. There will be times when we can work together as a group and other times that the group will be split into the academy group and the developmental group. It all depends on what we are trying to accomplish on a given day. We want to try to make sure all players are getting the appropriate training for their ability.

Academy will attend 1 tournament this spring in Neenah May 12-14. The developmental team will play U11 in 3 Tournaments. Neenah May 12-14, Wausau May 19-21, and Appleton June 23-25. There will be added cost to attend the Wausau and Appleton tournaments.

We will be posting the Wausau tournament roster soon on Team App so that players can book hotel rooms before they fill up. The roster and hotel info will be posted on the Team App schedule on the date of the tournament. If you are on that roster, please RSVP your availability asap. If you cannot attend or choose not to attend, we would like to have the chance to invite someone else. The Wausau roster is not the final developmental roster as we are allowing for some fluidity with that. More info will follow regarding this.

Winter training will continue through March, please attend as this will help players improve, as well as give us more information on players as we look to spring. We will hold a spring parent meeting in the near future, so keep an eye on Team app for that date.

Thank You,
Coach Ken
